How to Deal with the Rapture Question

When I first came to know the Lord and Christianity, I was taught the Pre-Tribulation Pre-Millennial Rapture View of the End Times and for the next 20 years, not only did I believe in it fervently, I used to pity those who believed any other way.

Once God brought me to the point where I could study the Bible inductively, and draw conclusions from it, I noticed discrepancies in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture View. It wasn’t drawing its conclusions directly from the Word of God itself! It was only when I said, “Lord, perhaps I’m wrong”, that God opened my eyes and I saw that I was reading into the Scriptures what may or may not be true. Over the next 10 years and as a result of that initial moment of repentance, God continued to highlight more discrepancies. At the same time, He gave me new insights into His Word and in the last 2-3 years, everything finally came together and I realized that WHY we need EVERY book in the Bible. It’s this understanding of the Second Coming of our Lord, “the blessed hope” that helped to pull all things together for me, both the First and Second Comings.

I offer this series of lectures to you for your consideration. My plea is that you listen to them, repeating each lecture until you have a clear understanding and memory of the facts before you move on. They build on each other. I began with Genesis and ended with Revelation.

The ONLY way to deal with the “Rapture Question”, is to have a view of the whole. Then we can each, intelligently and calmly, reason through the Scriptures in an objective and not subjective way, with our minds undergirded and built on TRUTH.

May the Lord open all our eyes to this great and glorious hope that it is only “Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come”.
