Plumbing the Depths of Romans

Of all the books of the Bible, none could be more profitable to study than Romans. It is the constitution of your faith, the foundation for all that you believe, the plumb line by which you can examine all that you hear. Romans is the clearest explanation of the gospel in all the Word of God.

Part I

Study Romans 1–5 and learn the fundamental doctrines of our faith. You will learn the meanings of original sin, justification, redemption, and propitiation—truths on which Christianity is built.

Part II

The study of Romans 6–8 will teach you how living through the power of the Holy Spirit, sanctification, relates to your justification through faith.

Part III

Romans 9–11 reveals more of the sovereignty of God and His character. You will study predestination, election, and the free will of man, and God's heart toward Israel.

Part IV

Romans 12–16 contain the practical out-workings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Understanding the "mercies of God," we are urged by Paul to present our bodies "a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God".
